A stronger region, with healthier people, providing more choices:

How we grow matters!

By 2040, our region will have 300,000 new residents and 240,000 new jobs.

How do we grow that much, maintain what we love about our communities and ...

  • become more economically competitive?
  • improve our health and protect the environment?
  • enhance our housing and transportation choices?

Regional Growth Projections

The East Tennessee Region is expected grow by an additional 300,000 people in the next 30 years, meaning that the five-county PlanET area will be home to nearly 1 million people by 2040.
